The Business Activity Report Form

Description

Key Features

The Business Activity Report form  is used for information on which data to include in the Business Activity Report including the date range, miscellaneous data, outside sales and a summary of the shows which fall within the date range chosen at the top of the form.

The bottom gray portion of the form is modifiable with changes getting updated in the Show Information form automatically.   It serves as a final check and update area before the actual report is generated

  • Create reports of all shows sales that fall within a date range you select.  It could be weekly, monthly quarterly or yearly and so on.
  • Update information on the fly before the final report is generated.  A definite time saver.
  • Add extra information typical of a direct sales business report such as future booked shows goals, hours worked and more.
  • Calculate profits based off of wholesale amount of product sold versus amount of revenue generated by the shows all rolled up.
  • Track vital statistics such as $/hr earned, number of customers served, number of recruits, number of bookings and hostess information.

How to Use This Form

Overview

FYI: The Business Activity Report only summarizes the information contained in the Show Information section of your database.  Thus the Show Date is the critical date, unlike the Order Consolidation w/ Inventory Adjustments in which the Order Date is critical.   If you have an order with a date that falls within your date range, but is not tied to a Show that is within your date range, those sales WILL NOT be included in the report.

  1. Enter a start date and finish date for the sales you would like to include in the reportNOTE: The information you get out is only as accurate and the data you enter.  Be sure of your Show Dates located on the Show Information form.

  2. Fill in the miscellaneous information such as weekly goals, number of shows in the upcoming weeks, hours worked and the retail and wholesale value of those sales which are NOT included in the Show Information section of the program.

  3. Update any information you like in the gray section except the Hostess Name.

  4. Press OK when you are satisfied with your data and the report generates automatically.

  5. You're Report will appear.  If you are generating a large report it may take a few seconds to a few minutes to generate this report.

  6. It's wise to print a hard copy of your report using the printer icon located at the top of the report that opens.

To print a report Weekly, Monthly or Yearly or any other date range, simply enter that range in the fields labeled at the top of the form.

Typical Problems Encountered:

  • Date range is wrong.
  • Show Date is wrong.  Find the Show in question and update the Show Date to the proper date.  Look for simple changes such as the incorrect year and such.
  • Order is not connected to the Show you think its connected to.
  • Report does not open, your get a window to open with a blank screen.  # of hours worked may be equal to zero.  # hours worked cannot = 0 or you will get a division by zero error and the report will not open.
