The Expenses form  is used a ledger to record and store information about expenses you incur on a daily basis in your business

 

 

 

  • Track your total amount of expenses.
  • Print yearly expense report for your tax return.
  • Create new categories to meet your expense tracking needs.
  • Categorize your expenses to meet your needs.
  • Manage and track your expenses by printing monthly and categorized reports of your expenses with percentages.
  • Determine ways to reduce expenses in categories where your spend the most.

 

 

 

 

 

How to Use This Form

 

 

   

 

Overview

  1. If a category does not fit your need, select the Categories button directly below the category name in the 2nd column.

  2. Enter a new category and exit the Categories form.

  3. Return to the Expense form.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the ledger and select the proper category in the next entry location.

  5. Enter a brief description in the third column.

  6. Enter the total amount in the fourth column.

  7. Enter the date of the transaction in the Fifth column.  Type over the default date OR use the arrow keys to increment the date by one day in either direction.

  8. Enter any pertinent notes in the 6th column.

 

To Print an Expense Report Summarized by Month:

  • Click the By Month button.
  • Enter the date range which interests you.
  • Press "OK" and the report opens automatically.
  • Note the percentages by Month to the right of the top section of the report.  SEE SAMPLE REPORT BELOW.
  • Print the report if desired using the printer icon at the top of the report.

 

To Print an Expense Report Summarized by category:

  • Click the By Category button.
  • Enter the date range which interests you.
  • Press "OK" and the report opens automatically.

Create an Expense Report for Your Tax Return:

  • Click the By Category button.
  • Enter the date range from 1/1/<Tax Year> to 12/31/<Tax Year>.
  • Press "OK" and the report opens automatically.
  • Note the percentages by Category to the right of the top section of the report.  SEE SAMPLE REPORT BELOW.
  • Print the report if desired using the printer icon at the top of the report.
